Heavy meta: Why am I So Single? @sosinglemusical

Being young and single never seemed so fun, full of energy, yet full of contradictions in this high-concept meta-musical, Why Am I So Single? The fourth wall is not so much broken as endlessly pummelled as the cast talks directly to the audience. Frequently. But essentially, it’s about young people with neuroses and smartphone addiction exploring why they can’t find love in present-day London. Told with a series of spectacular songs and dance scenes in this new musical from the creators of Six, Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss. But while we don’t necessarily get an answer that rings true to the question posed by this show, you are likely to be distracted mainly by the energy and the songs. Previewing wandering around Holland Park at night: The Dwindling House

For some, catching Britten's The Turn of the Screw would be enough tense entertainment for an evening. But this week in Holland Park there is also the opportunity to see the opera and then embark on an eerie theatrical promenade piece, The Dwindling House of Holland. The piece will explore the tangled history of the Holland family. After catching the opera you then proceed (possibly with a sensible drink to calm the nerves) under the cover of darkness through Holland Park with the cast, who evoke visions and sinister tales of the dwindling families of Holland Park.

The shows in London are always full of awfully talented people. Here is one in which I haven't seen but just love the poster. I suddenly have this urge for rib eye (or it could be really thick rump I suppose), even if I'm not so sure about the hand model... The play is apparently based on a Tennessee Williams short story and it is dark obsessive tale set in an abattoir  office. It's at The Albany  in Deptford next week and the Giant Olive Theatre at the Lion and the Unicorn in Kentish Town the week after. Vegetarians may wish to steer clear...
